How does the Head-Counter device offered by Blimp work?<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Head-Counter is a device produced and marketed by Blimp with the aim of providing its customers with information on the flow and density of people entering its field of action. The device is part of the broader category of Digital Signage devices. To perform its measurements, Head-Counter uses face detection algorithms, which refer to technologies that detect the presence of a human face in an image, but do not identify it. The image and video analysis and acquisition system developed by Blimp detects a snapshot in a given area. The photograph is then processed by a computing unit inside the meter, which extracts the information of interest.\u2028<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For Blimp, privacy plays a key role: aggregation and anonymization<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From the photographs, it is possible to extrapolate, by means of aggregation and anonymization operations. These include: the number of faces, the number of pedestrians or vehicles in an area, the number of subjects belonging to a certain gender or age group. It is in no way possible to trace the identity of the person concerned. The acquisition has a limited duration and takes place within the device itself. No personal data remains on the Head-Counter\u2019s hard disk. The extrapolated data remain exclusively in the volatile memory (RAM) of the Main Board for the time required to process them, up to a maximum of 500 milliseconds. They are then immediately deleted. It is in no way possible to access the Main Board from outside or remotely: during use, communication is mono-directional. Access to the Main Board is only possible during configuration, under explicit customer request and through specific commands.<\/p>\n

Moreover, in order to protect the rights and freedoms of data subjects, Blimp ensures the adoption of due technical and organizational measures on data minimization and best practices on data security in order to avoid incidents and data leaks (data lake and data breach). <\/p>\n

Not only that, Blimp constantly monitors its equipment through a system of regular audits, aimed at avoiding tampering and malfunctions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
